Repair Options:

• Simple Fix: If the short is caused by voice coil leads touching the basket or each other, carefully reposition them using non-conductive tweezers or a toothpick and secure them with high-temperature adhesive (like RTV silicone). This is rare and often temporary if the insulation is already compromised.

• Crossover Repair: If you identify a specific faulty component (like a shorted capacitor) on the crossover and have soldering skills, you could replace it. Ensure the replacement has identical specifications (value, voltage rating, type). Finding exact crossover parts can be difficult.

• Driver Replacement: If the driver itself (woofer or tweeter) is shorted, or if the crossover fault isn’t easily repairable, replacing the faulty driver is the most reliable solution. Contact Focal support or search online for the specific driver part (e.g., “Focal 100ICW woofer replacement” or “Focal 100ICW tweeter replacement”). This is often the most practical fix.

• Crossover Replacement: Finding an exact replacement crossover board is usually very difficult/impossible unless Focal sells it as a spare part (unlikely for this series). Driver replacement is usually preferred.
